Ody's Korean bday bash

Well, Ansley's cousin (well...one of two) had a Korean birthday party at our house when they came to visit. Ody is Ansley's favorite boy cousin and she was so happy to meet him and her Uncle Jason and Aunt Lyn. Having them here was so great and we were so glad that they could come visit. Ody just turned one...isn't he the cutest thing? He is walking so good and is just the cutest thing not that I am biased or anything. For those of you that don't know-which I am pretty sure that everyone knows although you probably could not tell from Ansley-I am half Korean. In Korea...the 1st birthday is a big deal and all kids have an elaborate birthday. My mom bought Ody a Korean birthday outfit and made of all the food you are going to see in the pictures for his birthday. It is a tradition for money, a pen and paper and food to be laid out on the table and whichever item the child chooses first means something. Money means that they will be wealthy, food means that they will never go hungry and pen and paper means that they will be very smart. This is what Ansley has to look forward to when she turns one and I know that she can't wait. I just know that Ansley will pick up all 4 items at once!
