Play hard or go home

Ansley loves playing in her saucer and I just can't get over how much more aware and active she gets every day. She is so fun to watch and I thought you would love to watch her as much as I do.

She's starting young

Yes...that is Ansley on her computer. She just loves to play on her little laptop...one of the awesome Xmas presents that she received from Aunt Jane, Uncle Wyatt, Julia and Maggie. She really loves it and is always "typing" away on it. She has also been sitting up all on her own for short amounts of time. She is sitting up longer and longer every day and I feel like she is going to be crawling any day now. She will get on her knees and move back and forth...it is amazing. I just can't believe it. I think about how little she was when she was born and where she is today. Anyway, I wanted to share...

Look...no hands...

What can I say? He's camera happy

Here are some more pictures of Ansley that Mike took...

Peek-a-boo

...I see you

So the other day Mike decided to take some pictures of Ansley...and they were pretty cute. When I say "some"...I mean 50...so I am not going to post all of them but I am going to put a few of them up. He was pretty proud of his photography skills and like I said...they were cute. By the way, she LOVES her toes if you can't tell.

A taste of the good life

Before...

After...

So we had our first solid food experience. I ended up waiting a little longer than planned since Ansley was sick. Anyway, she liked it and she did really well with the concept of eating off of a spoon. I gave her rice cereal first, then I added apple sauce and now we are on green beans. I just started her on pears this morning and on Thursday we are going to try either peas or squash. Anyway, I took a few pictures as promised to share.

Just six more months...

...and she will be a year old!!! Can you believe it? I can't. I know I say this every month but I just cannot believe that she is already 6 months old. It is just the craziest thing to me. Since we have been back from Huntsville, Ansley has been under the weather. She was sick and had a bad runny nose and cough. She is much better now, but there for a while, I was getting worried. We took her to the doctor for her 6 month shots and she could not get them because she was still sick. We did find out, however, that she is in the 75th percentile in length and only the 25th percentile for weight. I guess since she was not eating so great while she was sick...she lost a few pounds. Don't worry though...I know that she is packing them right back on now that she is feeling better. I look at Ansley and think she has some meat on her bones but the doctor said that she is really long for her size and I guess that is why her weight is a little off. Anyway, she really has been doing better. I am so thankful that she is getting over it because it was not fun having to see her sick. I hated it. Ansley is rolling over like a champ now. She had rolled over before but it would be a roll here and a roll there...now...it's like she's a mad woman and I can't stop her. The other day at gymboree class, she was rolling all over the place and was rolling over the babies next to her. I love it. I just want to clarify...I don't love her rolling over other babies but I love that she is so active now. She is now sitting up too. She sat up for 10 minutes the other day and I couldn't believe it. She is sitting up on her own more and more every day. It is amazing the new things she is doing...her mama and daddy are so proud. We just don't want her to grow up so fast. Anyway, I will try and post some new pictures of her tomorrow. Sending our love...

And so it begins

While we were home for Christmas, Christmas Eve to be exact, Ansley was baptized. We were really sad about doing this without all of our family and friends there but with us living in Orlando now...that would be almost impossible. A friend of the family, Erika, purchased a beautiful gown for the baptism and I didn't want her to be too big to wear it. Anyway, everything was great...Ansley did awesome. Again, I hate that all of our family and friends were not there but I hope that everyone can be there for future events in her life. We are excited for Ansley to begin her journey in her walk with God and I just know that he will bless her throughout her life. I just wanted to share this very important and joyful event.

I have to admit...it's a little scary

While I was in Huntsville...I saw a picture of me when I was a baby and it was kind of scary how much Ansley looks like me or at least I thought so. I figured since I could not put the actual picture up on the blog that I would take a picture of the photo of me and Ansley together. You tell me what you think...

She CRACKS me up...

Better late than never

Here are some pictures we took while in Huntsville. I didn't get near as many as I was hoping since we weren't feeling great...

I am all that Mommy wants for Christmas

I am a cute little stinker

People say I look like my Grandpa...what do you think?
