She loves her apple sauce

*don't forget to mute the music*

Ansley loves to eat with her hands...but she loves her a spoon and some apple sauce. We have started to let her eat with a spoon and although she definitely has not mastered this yet...she is getting much better at it.

This smile can brighten my day anytime

Ansley running around the house on a mission

Whooo me? :)

These boots were made for walking...just not for her

Sitting pretty

I'm sorry...can you repeat that?

Our little man is going to be 12 weeks old on Thursday and I cannot believe it?!?! I just think it is crazy. I know that time flies by but wow. I guess having 2 little ones 13 months apart can keep you busy but I am just amazed about how quickly time is flying by and how much he is growing. He is holding his head up really good and is smiling so much. He has started to "talk" to us and if I can get him going...he will laugh...it's the cutest thing. Ansley is really loving being a big sister now. She will come over and give him kisses and "pet" him. I say "pet" because we have our 2 dogs and she pets Ty the same way she pets them. She will bring him toys and will actually let Hannah the Hippo (which is her lovie that she loves more than anything so this is big for her) lay with him for just a bit. Anyway, I think that they are going to be best friends and I really can't wait until Ty gets bigger and they can play together.

Doctor update

We took Ansley and Tyson (yes...at the same time) to their appointments. Ansley had her 15 month (which was really more like her 16 month because I waited so I could take her with Ty) check up and Tyson had his 2 month check up. Ansley was in great health and the doctor seemed impressed...as he was asking us if she knew where her nose and belly button were...she was pointing them out to him. She weighed in at 20 pounds and 31 1/2 inches tall. She is certainly growing in length but the doctor said we will probably see that slow down a good bit at her next appointment. Tyson, on the other hand, was 11 pounds and 12 ounces and was 23 1/2 inches tall. He was much more in weight than I had expected and much longer. I honestly did not think he would weigh that much. Although he is a big boy...he is still my sweet little baby. He looked good as well and was in great health. They both had several shots (Ansley had 5 and Ty had 4) and both received a clean bill of health. Anyway, they are doing great and I am truly lucky to have such beautiful, awesome babies. It can be hard some days...but Ansley's kisses and Tyson's smiles make it all worth while.

Our little "basket" of joy

**don't forget to mute the music**

So we have these little baskets that I use to put Tyson's towels and washcloths in. They are not regular sized laundry baskets...they are small. Ansley has become very good about "exploring" and finding herself in situations that sometimes is okay and sometimes is not really okay. For instance, a few weeks ago...I caught Ansley is our bathroom sitting on the toilet playing with the toilet paper. How she got up on the toilet (especially without hurting herself) is amazing in itself. She also climbed up on the bench of our breakfast table with one foot on the table. She has become very curious about oh...everything. One day we noticed that she was not in the room with us and being very quiet and decided we needed to go look for her. Well, we found her alright. She had dumped out Tyson's washcloths and plopped herself in the basket. The only thing we could do is laugh...and grab the camera.

Few and far between

Taking a stroll with Daddy

Looking for a four leaf clover

With the cold weather growing near...there are not a lot of nice sunny days left. We have had a few in the past few weeks that I was not expecting. We wanted to take full advantage of these days and let Ansley and Ty enjoy the weather. We took them outside to play and it was really nice. Ansley and Daddy played while Ty watched from the patio. It was a win win for everyone. With the cold weather approaching, I think we need to be outside as much as possible.

Bath time has NEVER been better

Ansley loves baths and she always has. She is a water baby through and through. There is nothing she loves more than water and bath time is just about one of her very favorite things. I really didn't think that she could love a bath more but I was very very wrong. Daddy decided to get in a tub with her with bubbles and she had the best time ever.

Too cute for words

Playing a little dress up

Several weeks ago I thought I had found the perfect Xmas outfit for my sweet little babies. The reason I say "thought" is because Mike quickly shot this down. He hated the outfits and made me promise to take them back. I did try the outfits on them to make sure they fit okay and quickly realized that maybe Mike had a point. After some consideration, I had to admit that Mike was right and that there was no way that this was going to be the best choice for her because she would freeze to death. I did end up taking them back but not before I had snapped a few pictures. So here we are playing dress up and pointing our favorite body part out.

Bad bad computer

So our computer has been acting up for the last few weeks and has not been working properly. It is the reason I have not been able to post anything for a while. I am so sorry that it has been so long since I have put up something up. A lot has happened since the last time I was able to get on here so I have a lot to catch you up on. Tyson is just growing and growing everyday...it is hard to remember these stages with Ansley (although I don't know why because it really wasn't that long ago). He is such a good baby and he has made having two little ones so much easier on me. Ansley is doing great too...just learning something new everyday. She is pointing to body parts (belly button, nose, mouth, eyes, ears, toes..etc) and is repeating just about everything we say. Since I am so behind times so I am going to get started. Here is a video of Ansley (many many weeks ago) walking around in the backyard. Enjoy...and there is more to come (much more).

Ty in action

**don't forget to mute the music**

Ty is starting to move around a little and he is staying awake more and more. He is such a good baby and has really been easy which has been nice since Ansley is so active. Night time has been a little hard because he is so sleepy (since he is awake a good part of the day) and it's hard to get him to eat good before he goes down. He loves just sitting on the couch with his mama and daddy watching the tube. We go for his shots next week so I will be able to tell how much he has grown since we haven't been to the doctor since his jaundice incident...that ought to be fun.

Fun in the sun

Ansley's hearing is awesome...she heard a car & 5 seconds later...I heard it

She LOVES her Daddy..she is definitely a Daddy's girl

Getting up close and personal...literally

One of our little problems...trying to eat everything we see

Chillin in the yard...and pulling a Britney

As you all know, our new thing is to play outside in the yard. I figure with the weather getting cool...we might as well take advantage and let her have her fun in the sun while she can. Ansley is really walking almost perfect now. She was stumbling a little here and there before but now...it's on. She loves to walk around the house and get into everything. It is fun but can be a little hard while trying to occupy our new little brother as well. She is taking to Ty better too. She will give him kisses and hold his hand for just a moment...that is until we say something and then she wants to act like she isn't interested in him. I can't wait until he is older and sitting up and can really interact with his big sissy.

8 weeks already!!!

Well, I never thought 8 weeks ago I would say this but these past 8 weeks have gone by so fast. Ty is growing so much and is becomming more and more active. He is such a good baby and between him and Ansley...I have had it pretty good. He is awake so much more which is a good thing for me at night. I don't know how much he weighs but we are going for his shots next week so we shall see. He is sleeping pretty good though...we feed at around 9:30 or 10pm and he usually wakes up around 4 or 5am so that isn't bad. I can't wait until he is sleeping through the night like Ansley...that will be awesome but until then I will try and enjoy this stage.

She has an obsession

My child is obsessed with belly buttons. I have been trying to teach her where body parts are like her nose, eyes, ears...and belly button. She is able to point out other body parts when asked but her favorite thing to find is her belly button...and everyone else's. She is always coming up to either Mike or me and lifts up our shirts to show us our belly button. Anyway, it's pretty cute so I thought I would share...

Outside and loving it!

Those of you who know Ansley well know that she LOVES to be outside. She has loved being outside since she was itty bitty. Now that she is very mobile...it is fun for her and fun for us. We love watching her walk around in the grass because she is just having the best time and she is so happy. When she is out there she really doesn't even notice if we are there because she is completely entertaining herself.
