The birthday cake...
...and his little smasher cake
The beautiful banner that we worked on forever :)
Before he tasted his first (well...technically his second) birthday cake
He loved it...can you tell?
So we did have a little Korean birthday party for Ty in Huntsville but we decided that we had to have a little party for him in Memphis so he could celebrate with his friends. It wasn't anything big but we wanted to let him have some fun with his little friends...and he did. It was a good time and he had a ball.

Ty's bday bash
Ty's first (Korean) birthday party
...this does the table no justice...there was so much food
Family (part of) photo
Ty opening up some presents...thank you everyone!
His cousin Ody helped him celebrate
Sissy had a so much at "Ty Ty's" bday party
Eating some birthday cake that Grandma made...delicious
So, while we were visting in Huntsville back in August...my parents had a Korean birthday bash for Ty. This is a Korean tradition and my mom put A LOT of work into it (thanks Mom). The first birthday is very important and, as you will see in the pics, there is a lot of attention to detail in the set up of the birthday party. I have to say, again, how much hard work my mom did to have this party. I don't think I have seen so much food since...well...since Ansley's Korean birthday party. There was so much food (which was SO good), a lot of really nice guests and one happy little guy. Anyway, I know that Ty had a great time and enjoyed it all so much. It was especially sweet that even though his uncle, aunt & cousin needed to leave to go home...they stayed a little longer to help him celebrate. I know that made for a long drive but it was very much appreciated. He can't say it himself but I know that Ty loves and appreciates his family and all the hard work that Grandma and Grandpa did...love you all!!!
